If you are considering purchasing a home, it is important to learn as much as possible about the condition of the property. The following checklist will assist you in collecting pertinent information. Simply print the form and take it with you when you view the property.

Note: This step is a necessary part of the home inspection process. Doing it early will save you time and will prepare you to more actively participate in the home inspection tour. However, this checklist should not be considered an alternative to a home inspection. Home inspections should be performed by an experienced, qualified home inspector.

Home inspection checklist:

1. How long has the current homeowner lived in the home?___________

3. If property is a condominium or planned development, what areas are
the responsibility of the Association? Roof, Attic, Basement, Foundation,
Heating, Cooling, Water Supply, Sewage, External Walls, Walkways,
Driveway, Deck, Balcony, Porch, Pool, Fences, Sprinklers, etc.
